Time is a fascinating concept, isn't it? I often find myself wondering how life was before the existence of hours and days, when people measured time by observing the movements of the Sun and the Moon. Perhaps it's my Virgo Moon that nurtures this curiosity and longing for ancient times.

Last Friday, we received the keys to our new apartment in Amsterdam, and we've already spent three nights in our new home. 🏡 Let me tell you, it feels incredible to be back in Amsterdam! There's still plenty to do both in our new place and the old one. However, we see it as a long-term project, which grants us some breathing space. In the midst of it all, the Capricorn Full Moon presents an opportunity for me to plan and organize the tasks that lie ahead. Thanks to a Moon app, I was reminded of the Full Moon since I've been so occupied and exhausted that I haven't had a chance to gaze at the night sky this weekend. 🌝

Although the Full Moon is already here today, I wanted to create a newsletter to provide you with the latest updates in my life and share the energy surrounding the Capricorn Full Moon. Since I didn't manage to write a Cancer Season newsletter, I'll also include a brief overview of that as well.

Cancer Season 🦀

We are currently in the midst of Cancer season, which began on June 21st. Cancer, a water sign, is characterized by its ability to experience a wide range of emotions that flow through the body. It embodies the essence of the feminine, with its soft and nurturing energy, although sadly, society often perceives these qualities as negative. Cancer is known as the Caregiver, the Mother, and the Nurturer—an archetype that guides and supports growth at every stage of the journey, whether it be nurturing a child, tending to a plant, or cultivating a project. Although Cancer excels in caring for others, it is vital to prioritize self-care and nurture one's own emotional well-being before extending that care to others.

During the previous Women's Circle on the Summer Solstice, we delved into a soft practice aimed at nurturing ourselves and embracing our inner light. The upcoming Women's Circle, centered around the Cancer New Moon, will build upon this foundation. It promises to be a beautiful gathering of sisterhood. 💗

Capricorn Full Moon

As Cancer and Capricorn represent opposing signs, Capricorn carries a more masculine energy. It directs its focus outward, towards achievements and success. This sign embodies qualities such as hard work, discipline, efficiency, and responsibility. The archetype associated with Capricorn is that of the Minister, the Wise One, and the Elder. This energy assists us in envisioning our desired future and guiding us towards it. It encourages reflection on past experiences, recognizing what has been effective and what hasn't, and redirecting our focus towards what genuinely works. Capricorn empowers us to reach results. This Full Moon asks for introspection, to ask ourselves essential questions like, "Where am I currently headed and where should I direct my attention? How can I construct a solid framework to reach my desired destination?" With Capricorn's guidance, we can lay the groundwork for our dreams and build a sturdy path towards success.

While Cancer and Capricorn are indeed both caregivers, their focus differs in significant ways. Cancer's nurturing nature centers on personal care and emotional support, tending to individual needs and growth. On the other hand, Capricorn takes a broader perspective, considering the well-being of the community and culture, as well as planning for the needs of future generations, even those seven generations ahead.
